About

Healing through compassion and self-acceptance

Welcome to my highly specialized trauma and somatic processing practice! I look forward to helping you reach your mental health needs and goals. I specialize in eating disorders, trauma, attachment difficulties, postpartum and life transitions. My practice is focused around deep processing of the somatic, automatic and limbic systems within the body’s central nervous system. I do this by utilizing the AIR Network, Brainspotting and ART, as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy and mindfulness. I also work through a multicultural feministic lens. My goal is for you to reach your mental health needs and goals in an efficient and timely manner in order to reach a point where you can graduate from mental health services and only need maintenance sessions as new stressors arise going forward. I have designed my practice to offer a place that focuses primarily on deep processing versus the traditional talk therapy route. I focus on reaching the areas within ourselves where internal wounds are held that words alone cannot always reach. I firmly believe that change comes from internal love and compassion not internal hate and ridicule. My hope is to help you find that internal place of love and compassion and to find and build your authentic and most resource self and voice. You can expect our first two to three sessions to focus on the initial assessment (only the first appointment gets billed as an initial assessment), building rapport and establishing goals and a treatment plan. After the second or third appointment is when you can expect to begin our deep processing work. Each subsequent session will be a combination of utilizing either brainspotting or ART, as well as traditional talk therapy, mindfulness and skill building mixed throughout. My practice is designed for those who may already be seeing a provider or attending a treatment program as well as those who are looking to see a provider for the first time. I would be a great fit for those who may feel stuck in their mental health journey or in need to process through difficult memories, experiences, traumas or feelings that may be blocking your ability to reach your goals in other treatment formats. If you are wishing to see me as an add-on service to your current services, I greatly look forward to collaborating with your treatment team. Whether you are new to therapy or looking for add-on services and wanting a place to engage in deep processing work, I hope you reach out to get scheduled. A LITTLE ABOUT ME I am from Northern Minnesota but am currently living in the Twin Cities but try to get up north often. I enjoy cooking, eating, watching movies, fashion, the arts, swimming, being on the lake, helping my mom garden, fishing, camping and spending time with friends and family. Traveling and exploring new cultures, foods and traditions is also a great passion of mine.
